The trend away from steel to aluminium continues. Aluminium cast plates and aluminium components are becoming increasingly important as a basis for semi-finished products. There are solid arguments for both developments, not only with regard to costs. Through innovation and continued development alimex have expanded the applications whilst also decreasing the limitations of our cast aluminium plates and blocks.

By investing in our own CNC machining division we are able to manufacture high quality prototype tools, components and vacuum chambers. We have a comprehensive range of 2, 3 and 5 Axis CNC Milling Machines to accommodate large aluminium components up to 4500 x 3000 x 1000mm. Our CNC turning capacity includes semi-automated and manual machines with a maximum turning diameter of 1400mm x 800mm.

In order to innovate, it’s necessary to think outside the box, 30 years ago alimex demonstrated this by developing a cutting edge method to manufacture aluminium cast plate, which has now been adopted globally as the industry preferred casting process.

The History

alimex was founded in the 1970’s in Bad Homburg by Helmut Geller, operating in the international aluminium trading business.
